You realize that the child and her father are still waiting in the emergency department. You finally speak to the attending and inform him that the family can not afford the medical supplies. The attending tells you that it is not a priority right now and to forget about it. When you leave the hospital at 6pm for dinner, the child and father are still waiting. You leave the hospital feeling frustrated and upset about the health care system.
