The Ward Clerks

Ward Clerks have the ability to know most phone, extension and pager numbers, the whereabouts of staff, patients and family members and can process orders while answering the phone and three questions at the same time.

On a well functioning inpatient unit the ward clerk can facilitate communication between different care providers and between families and the team.
