The Pro-Pro Debate

Unintended pregnancy, and, more specifically, abortion, remains a heated topic in many parts of the world.  When completing this module, we do ask that you keep in mind that most people, including you and your colleagues, approach the issue from a “pro” side, whether that is “pro-choice” or “pro-life” (these being terms of common usage).

It is not the purpose of this module to resolve the “Pro-Pro Debate”, nor is it the purpose to change your personal opinion of abortion.  We do, however, hope you gain an appreciation for the complex personal, social, and medical issues that arise from unintended pregnancy, with the ultimate goal of improved patient care.
